 Could there be a more perfect, appropriate line for the Smallville series finale?
When Jonathan Kent (John Schneider) told his son to "always hold on to Smallville," it could have at the same time been a metatextual message for the fans to keep the show in our hearts. Through good times and bad, and whatever came in between, the show will remain something important to a lot of people -- we, too, should "always hold on to Smallville."
Nearly 30% of the total vote went to that quote for Best Line.
Second place also came from "Finale Part 2" - when Lex told Clark that they have a destiny together, "only on different sides." That had 757 votes. Clark's wedding vows to Lois were close behind with 718, and Chloe's name-dropping of a "wondrous woman" and a "billionaire with high tech toys" from "Fortune" came in fourth place.
