Ratings: The Butt Of No Jokes
Ratings were up a little bit this
week over last week, with the Buns of Steel still not
showing to be a bigger draw than Dr. Phil's guest shot
on Frasier. Smallville again placed a respectable
#4 for its timeslot (#3 in its second half hour), at least
as far as overnight ratings go for the night.
The
WB's press release about the episode reveals "Smallville
was #2 in its time period in adults 18-34 (4.0/11), persons
12-34 (3.9/12), women 18-34 (4.3/11), women 12-34 (4.2/12),
men 18-34 (3.7/11), men 12-34 (3.7/11) and men 18-49 (3.0/8).
The series, which is also produced by Tollin-Robbins Productions,
was also #3 in adults 18-49 (3.2/8) and #1 in teens (3.6/13),
female teens (3.8/13) and male teens (3.5/12). "

Chloe Chronicles: Behind The
Scenes
Want to know more about the Chloe
Chronicles?
KryptonSite's
"Sullivan Lane" has interviewed Mark Warshaw,
producer of Smallville's official online content,
to talk about this new online-exclusive feature. Inside
you'll find some hints on what to expect from the Chronicles.
There may, however, be some spoilers inside. Curious to
read more? Follow
this link! In case you haven't heard, the Chloe
Chronicles can be found on America Online at keyword:
Smallville, with new stories every Tuesday night at 10PM
ET. They then show up on TheWB.com
on Fridays.
"A
lot of times on Smallville people die and we just
move on to the next episode and don't go in depth into
the reason why they died, what's behind it,'' Allison
Mack told Yahoo!
News. "Basically, Chloe's going in to answer
all the unanswered questions and tie up loose ends. We're
taking story lines from previous episodes and just go
more in depth.''

"Precipice"
Ratings!
The ratings moved up a bit this
week! Smallville placed a respectable #4 for its
timeslot (#3 in its second half hour), at least as far
as overnight ratings go for the night. Maybe this is a
sign Power Ranger Lana needs to make a return appearance.
Look
for ratings to be high next week as people will be wondering
if that's really Tom Welling's
rear end or not. Or, maybe people will just be curious
to see the kid from Home Improvement again.
The
WB touts the episode as cleaning up in the show's target
demographics. From their press release: "SMALLVILLE,
which is also from Tollin-Robbins Productions, was #2
in adults 18-34 (3.9/12), persons 12-34 (3.9/12), women
18-34 (4.4/12), men 18-34 (3.5/11), women 12-34 (4.3/12),
men 12-34 (3.5/12), adults 18-49 (3.3/8) and men 18-49
(3.2/9) . SMALLVILLE was also #1 in its time period in
teens (3.8/13), female teens (4.1/15) and male teens (3.6/12)."

"Precipice"
Music!
Here's a list
of music
from Tuesday night's episode of Smallville...
"Becoming"
by Adam Tenenbaum
"Don't Fear The Reaper" by Gus
"Princess" by Matt Nathanson
"Don't
Forget Me" by Red Hot Chili Peppers
"Let
Me Be The One" by Sammi Morelli
"Shakedown!"
by TheSTART
Please
e-mail us and
let us know where in the episode this music appeared.
And of course, follow the links to order the CD's and
help support KryptonSite!
Interesting
to note: The song "Let Me Be The One," featured
in the episode, is by new young singer/songwriter Sammi
Morelli, daughter of Tony Morelli, Smallville's
stunt coordinator. Dad says he submitted his daughters
CD to Producer Ken Horton and the PTB decided the song
was perfect for the episode. Sammi has just recently returned
from New York where she played Madison Square Garden and
other venues with NY idol and recording artist Kenny Camacho.
"Tony
is Vancouvers top stunt coordinator; he was the
coordinator on X-Files," we were told by the person
who sent us this news item. "You can check out the
IMDB for
some more of Tonys credits but right now he seems
proudest of his daughters accomplishments."
You
can find Sammi Morelli's website by clicking
here. From there you can listen to a preview of "Let
Me Be The One."

Smallville
Among Upcoming Potential DVD Releases
Special
thanks to: The
Futon Critic
Warner
Bros. is quickly following FOX's lead and is working on
bringing more series to the DVD format, according to a
report at The
Futon Critic. In a chat hosted at the Home
Theatre Forum, several Warner Bros. execs revealed
several titles they are considering to release.
The
three series most of note to Smallville fans, of
course, would be Smallville, The Dukes of Hazzard
(starring Smallville dad John Schneider),
and TV's previous journey into the world of Superman,
Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman.
For a look at what else they are considering, visit The
Futon Critic. Let's hope all three of theser series
and more will be on DVD soon, as nothing solid has been
released to date.

New
Smallville Sheriff Interviewed In The Toronto
Star
Special
thanks to: KalElFan
Smallville
sheriff Camille Mitchell, who makes her debut in
Tuesday night's episode "Precipice," was recently
interviewed in the Toronto
Star. There she talked about topics including her
famous father, curly hair, Marilyn Monroe, and, oh yeah,
her new role.
"She
mistrusts all the louts in town and she's determined to
sweep Smallville clean," Mitchell told the paper.
"They've written her character with sardonic humour.
She doesn't know Clark (Tom Welling) is Superman; she
thinks this kid has a hero complex."
She
also had a little bit to say about her wardrobe in the
series.
"It's
a one-size-fits-all sheriff suit," she laughs. "I
asked, 'Can we do the pants in a deeper shade and how
about a couple of darts in them?' The producers said that
the beauty of the character is that she is not vain. There
is definitely a Fargo sensibility and there's the Smokey
The Bear hat."
KryptonSite
was luckily enough to interview Ms. Mitchell last month.

John
Schneider & Allison Mack In TV Guide
The latest U.S. edition of TV

two small bits that include Smallville cast members.
The
"Star Style" page includes a picture of Allison
Mack and tells how you, too, can get an outfit like
Chloe's without raiding SullivanLane's closet. Then, a
few pages later, John Schneider and three of his
children are shown next to a quote where John talks about
what family-friendly programming that his family shares.
"We
watch a lot of cartoons both new and old, from Bugs Bunny
to Spongebob," John said. "But mostly we watch
movies that can give us something to discuss as a family,
like 'My Dog Skip.' Next on the list is 'Sergeant York'
with Gary Cooper."

how did "Visitor" do?
Well,
it should come as no surprise that after months of repeats,

as time progresses and more people realize the show is

Bo
Says No To Big-Screen Tom Welling
John Schneider (Jonathan Kent) was
recently interviewed at Zap2it.com
where he let his feelings be known about whether or not
his TV son should play Superman in the new movie that
is supposedly being made.
"If
Tom were to do the 'Superman' movie and it were not to
be excellent, if it were to be 'Lost in Space,' then we
would lose one of potentially the future's brightest stars,
and I don't think it's worth it," Schneider told
the site. "Also, it's so incredibly right on the
nose that I think -- best case scenario -- that it would
be good and he'd never be able to do anything but sequels
to it."
Of
course, John suggests "Joe Millionaire" Evan
Marriott for the role -- which sounds like more of
a suggestion that would come from an executive who's had
a bit too much of Uncle Jesse's moonshine. We here at
KryptonSite would prefer the Superman movies to be an
Evan-free zone.
No
word on a new movie Superman has been made as of yet.
