Based on the DC character, Supergirl AKA Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist), decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and become the hero she was always meant to be on The CW series, “Supergirl.”

When she was 12 years old, Kara Zor-El escaped the doomed planet Krypton and was sent to Earth where she was protected and raised by her foster parents, Jeremiah (Dean Cain) and Eliza Danvers (Helen Slater) and her foster sister, Alex (Chyler Leigh).  Under their supervision, Kara learned to conceal the phenomenal powers she shares with her famous cousin, Superman (Tyler Hoechlin), in order to keep her identity a secret.

Years later, Kara was living a “normal” life in National City, assisting media mogul and fierce taskmaster Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart) and working with her famous friend, and now Editor-in-chief of CatCo, James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks). When Alex’s life was threatened in a plane crash, Kara took to the sky to rescue her.  In the aftermath, Kara decided she could no longer sit on the sidelines and came out as Supergirl.  She now balances her job as a reporter at CatCo Worldwide Media with her work at the Department of Extra-Normal Operations (DEO), a super-secret government agency, which is run by her sister Alex. Supergirl also gets help from her friends, J’onn J’onzz aka The Martian Manhunter (David Harewood), Brainiac-5 (Jesse Rath) and Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath), who’s doesn’t know Supergirl’s true identity is that of her best friend Kara Danvers.

In season four, Supergirl is facing a bigger threat than she’s ever faced before — a new wave of anti-alien sentiment is spreading across National City fomented by Agent Liberty (Sam Witwer). As Kara mentors a new reporter at CatCo, Nia Nal (Nicole Maines), and tries to use the power of the press to shine a light on the issues, which threaten to tear the city apart, Supergirl takes to the skies to battle the many villains who rise up in this era of divisiveness. But how does Supergirl battle a movement when she, herself an alien, represents one of the main things people are fearful of?

Season four of SUPERMAN & LOIS picks up right where last season left off: with Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) and Luthor’s monster locked in a ferocious, moon-wrecking battle, as Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) fights for his life against the seemingly unstoppable creature. Back on the ground, General Lane (guest star Dylan Walsh) struggles to stay alive after being kidnapped by Luthor’s henchmen, while Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch), Jordan (Alex Garfin), and Jonathan (Michael Bishop) race against time to rescue him. But standing in their way is Lex Luthor (Michael Cudlitz) himself, who has permanently moved to Smallville as the next step in his malicious plan to destroy Lois Lane. Meanwhile, Lana Lang (guest star Emanuelle Chriqui) uses her position as Mayor to fight back against Luthor’s schemes, a move which puts her in the sights of the most dangerous man in the world and threatens everything she holds dear. This includes her relationship with John Henry Irons (guest star Wolé Parks), who must put his Ironworks plans on hold and rejoin the DOD, now that General Lane is missing. But they aren’t the only duo in trouble, as Chrissy Beppo (guest star Sofia Hasmik) and Kyle Cushing (guest star Eric Valdez) face an uphill battle of their own, with countless roadblocks that threaten to ruin their future together. Amid all the chaos, Sarah Cortez (guest star Inde Navarette) and Natalie Irons (guest star Tayler Buck) also join the fight against Luthor, while both facing impossible decisions about their paths in life. And as Clark’s battle with the terrifying monster continues, Lois, her boys, and the world must face an unthinkable possibility: what if Superman never returns?

Acclaimed Series Turns Superman & Lois Smallville Into A Wasteland

An acclaimed HBO series has turned the Superman & Lois Smallville town set into a wasteland.

Published

on

A few months ago, Elizabeth “Bitsie” Tulloch who plays Lois Lane on Superman & Lois had mentioned that an acclaimed series would be taking over the Superman & Lois Smallville street sets… now, thanks to Hollywood North Buzz and Paul Orazietti (@Paradeguy on Twitter/X), we know which series it is: The HBO Original series The Last of Us starring Pedro Pascal!

The Superman & Lois streets have already been turned into a wasteland as seen in the photos below. The theater is still the “Sequoia” which is pretty cool, though! In real life this “town” is near Cloverdale in Vancouver, British Columbia… only blocks from the “downtown” street seen with such locations as the Talon on The WB/CW’s Smallville.

Of course, we still have ten episodes of seeing it as Smallville in Superman & Lois Season 4. The fourth and final season will launch with two back to back episodes October 17 on The CW. But after that… wasteland! You can see some photos in Paradeguy’s tweet below:

Superman & Lois Season 4 will star Bitsie Tulloch as Lois Lane, Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent/Superman, Alex Garfin as Jordan Kent, Michael Bishop as Jonathan Kent, and Michael Cudlitz as Lex Luthor. While several actors who used to be series regulars will now just be guest stars, all of them are expected to come back during the fourth and final season.

Special thanks goes out to Derek Russell at SHoE for the tip.
