John
Glover To Emcee Alzheimer's Fundraiser
John
Glover may play a magnificently evil you-know-what as Lionel
on Smallville (no, we don't buy the "reformed"
act), but in his personal life Glover has done a lot of charitable
work to help others, particularly in benefits for the Alzheimer's
Association. Every year Glover participates in the annual Memory
Walk, which last year raised $25,000 thanks to "Lionel"
and his legions of fans who donated to the cause.
Next
up for Mr. Glover will be the Alzheimer's Association Greater
Maryland Chapter's Memory Ball on April 9. It will be held at
the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel.
The
ball committee homes to raise $125,000. "Whenever a celebrity
lends his name to an event, it is always advantageous,"
chairwoman Patricia Mitchell told the Towson Times' Loni Ingraham.
"John Glover has been so wonderfully generous with his
time."
For
information about the ball or to make a donation, call the association
at 410-245-4270. You can also read more information by clicking

Smallville Season 4 In The Fall; L&C To Include
New Teri Hatcher Interviews
A
recent Home
Theater Forum chat that was covered by TVShowsOnDVD.com
revealed some of Warner Home Video's plans for the future.
First
off, Smallville Season Four is currently planned for
a Fall 2005 release. No further information is available
there, so no need to ask, but that's the latest. We will let
you know as soon as we find out anything more.
The
first season DVD set for Lois & Clark (due out June
7 - click
to pre-order and support this site!) will include new interviews
with Teri Hatcher. Teri played Lois Lane on the series, which
ran from 1993-1997, and she's now quite popular playing Susan
on Desperate
Housewives.
The
chat also brought out new information about other DC Comics-based
series. The Flash and "lots of great DC Comics-related
product coming in your future!" were listed in the "potential
titles for release" category. The 1988-1992 Superboy
series "will be considered," but considering the rights
are owned by the Salkinds, we kind of doubt that will happen
as Warner Bros. has effectively blocked it from even appearing
in syndication.
There
are no plans yet for Shazam! boxed sets, and there was
no answer given regarding a Birds of Prey DVD release,
or regarding releases for Justice League or Batman
Beyond season sets.
You
can read the entire article here,
and Warner Home Video, if you're reading - you put Enos on
DVD and you'll be my hero. Seriously!

Michael
McKean, Maggie Lawson Join Pilots
Smallville's
"Perry White" and a guest from "Redux" have
joined two pilots for potential television series.
Michael
McKean has joined the cast of a series called Blue Skies.
Blue Skies is about a 27-year-old (played by Scary Movie's
Anna Faris) who is the "reluctant enabler" for her
eccentric family. Maggie Lawson, the Freak of the Week
from "Redux," is in an ABC sitcom called Crumbs.
The
Fall 2005 schedules will be announced in May, so we'll know
then if these shows will hit the air. If Michael McKean's sitcom
gets picked up, it could limit the chances of a Perry White
return on Smallville.

New
Kristin Kreuk Interview Online!
Special thanks to: Mark @ HNR
The
Hollywood
North Report website has posted a new interview with Kristin
Kreuk by Robert Falconer. It is an extended version of an
interview recently in Dreamwatch magazine.
In
the interview, Kristin talked about her favorite episodes, her
other series Edgemont, her hobbies, practical jokes, and more.
Here's a sample of what she had to say:
"I
think really through season one in generaland this is
going to perhaps seem like a vague answerI was struggling
a lot with the character of Lana because I couldnt relate
to her fully, and I would think back to my acting classes that
I took all through high school where we had free reign over
characters. We took those characters and created them by ourselves,
and we made them into full people by writing up epic studies
of their traits and giving them histories and so forth. With
Lana I felt a little stuck because I was following what was
on the page, and I remember discussing this with Allison [Mack]
who has helped me a lot. And she said to me, 'Well its
up to you to shape these characters. You cant wait for
someone else to do that for you. Then, the writers will follow
your lead.' Which I didnt understand at all [laughs].
So thats a big lesson that I learned
and continue
to learn in a lot of ways."

Season
4 DVD's To Include Lois Lane Retrospective
The
Superman
Homepage is reporting that a look back at the history of
the Lois Lane character will be included on the Season 4 DVD
set for Smallville.
The
feature is said to include interviews with Erica Durance, Noel
Neill (1950's Adventures of Superman), and Dana Delany
(who played Lois in the 1990's animated series). Sadly, Desperate
housewife Teri Hatcher isn't included on their list.
The
Superman Homepage says the DVD will be out in September or October;
but we think it's far too early for a release date to be announced
or known, and we're sticking by our "Late 2005" prediction.

Michael
Rosenbaum at Celebrity Hockey Game
Special thanks to: CookoftheHouse
Michael
Rosenbaum participated in a 2005 Celebrity Hockey Challenge
in Seattle over the past weekend. The Challenge raised money
to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. Here's more of what Heather,
a.k.a. Cook, who attended the game, had to say:
"This
is THE charity for Rosenbaum; his brother Eric played with him
for the first time this year; Michael was extremely gracious
with his fans, extremely hilarious with Tom Arnold, and extremely
comfortable on the ice; when he made his goal, they played "Save
Me" over the speaker system; at one point, when Michael's
team was behind, Tom Arnold said (both of the coaches had microphones
with which to narrate the game) that he wondered if they could
get Tom Welling to play next year; Michael's team lost 8-7,
but everyone had a great time."

Kreuk In Canadian TV Guide
Special thanks to: WTRM
Kristin
Kreuk's hopes for Smallville's future are a bit rosier
than her Lex Luthorian co-star.
"I
think we'll be around for three or four more seasons, maybe
even longer - who knows?" she says in the March 19, 2005
of the Canadian editions of TV Guide. (Interior content
in Canadian TV Guide is different from what we have in
the States - which means, while folks up north get nifty things
like a "Jay and Silent Bob On Degrassi" cover,
we won't).
Kristin
also talked about her upcoming feature film, "Partition."
"I'm so excited about 'Partition'," KK told TV
Guide about her upcoming film, a love story set at the border
of Pakistan and India.

the following account on their

"I
had the opportunity to meet John Schneider aka Bo Duke! He's
a super nice guy. We had a short chat about kids after he
introduced himself. Then I met Tom Welling. Again, a super
nice guy. During run through, he dropped the doll on the floor
to freak me out. Yeah - very funny! Okay, it was a little
funny once I realised it wasn't part of the actual scene.
haha Libby seemed rather smitten by him. When we were filming
as she stopped being fussy the second he picked her up. I
also had a brief chat with Kristen Kreuk, who is also really
nice. Annette O'Toole, yet another wonderfully friendly actress,
and I had a chat about parenting and how cute the babies are."

"Lucy"
Ratings: Oof.
Smallville
just doesn't do very well in those end-of-or-right-after-sweeps
episodes, as evidenced by "Scare" in December and
"Lucy" here. The return of America's Next Top Model
on UPN predictably flew right past "Lucy," no
doubt helped by a fantastic marketing campaign and hype on several
other networks. Top Model's ratings were the highest
yet for a premiere for that show, which has resulted in "Lucy"'s
ratings being in the dog house. If only UPN promoted Veronica
Mars in the same way...
Or
hey, maybe more viewers in the 8PM hour cared about Hurley than
they did about Lois Lane's younger sister we'd never heard of
before. It's too bad, though, as "Lucy" had some cool
developments that will hopefully pay off later. Speaking of
siblings, whatever happened to Lucas? Lex has made it sound
like he's an only child a lot lately.
