New Items In This Year's Franklin Elementary School Auction! Many of Smallville's writers are part of "Friends of Franklin," a non-profit organization founded and operated by the parents of children enrolled at Franklin Avenue Elementary School.
Franklin Elementary is a culturally diverse school, serving students from grades K through 5. Their mission is to raise funds for school enrichment programs such as literature, theater, art, music, and field trips. Just like last year they have some very rare and unique items up for auction - so bid and help the school, and if you win, tell them KryptonSite sent you!
The Smallville auction ends on Dec. 17 so be sure to get your bids in!
Includes the script for "Justice" - SIGNED by Tom Welling (Clark), Kyle Gallner (Bart Allen/Impulse), Alan Ritchson (Arthur "AC" Curry/Aquaman), Justin Hartley (Oliver Queen/Green Arrow), Lee Thompson Young (Victor Stone/Cyborg), Allison Mack (Chloe), Michael Rosenbaum (Lex), and Steven S. DeKnight (writer/director of the episode!) But that's not all! Also included are a one-of-a-kind size children's medium T-Shirt celebrating 150 episodes of Smallville (as of "Apocalypse"), and a very rare Smallville Season 7 crew fleece blanket!
Other items currently being auctioned off by the Friends of Franklin include these:
TV Guide's First Look At The Legion! The December 15 issue of TV Guide magazine is a Sci-Fi Preview issue, and among the features within is a new image of the Legion of Super-Heroes from the upcoming episode "Legion."
There are also some spoilers for the episode within, and some quotes from writer Geoff Johns!
Gough & Millar To Produce & Direct New Movie In addition to their upcoming adaptation of Robotech, the men who developed Smallville for television have just signed a deal to write, produce, and direct a new film of their own creation.
The Disney film, which Alfred Gough and Miles Millar created on spec, is called Salisbury. Variety says that the studio and the writers are keeping the plot under wraps, but that the title refers to a fictional town, and has a young cast and a supernatural element. The film is expected to cost around $40 million.
Also coming soon from Gough & Millar and Disney is the upcoming Hannah Montana movie as well as a film based on the Jungle Cruise attraction.

"Bloodline" Ratings: Way Up... Smallville had a very good night on November 6, where, despite little on-air promotion, the return of Kara (Laura Vandervoort) may have brought some eyes back to the show. If only they could've gotten her to stay through to "Legion" (which was never a plan, as far as we know, but would have been cool just the same!)
Keep in mind that the ratings may be slightly inflated due to the show's pre-emption in Denver, but even so, the numbers should be good.

"Abyss" Promo Screencaps! Thanks to Rosey, we already have screen captures from the promotional trailer to the next episode of Smallville!
The CW Scraps Plans For "The Graysons" Smallville executive producers Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders had been working with Supernatural's McG on a project taking on another DC Comics legend - Robin - in a series called "The Graysons." Unfortunately, trade paper reports confirm rumors that the series will not come to be.
Variety reveals that Warner Bros. Pictures' Jeff Rubinov was the one to pull the plug, claiming that Rubinov initially gave his blessing but changed his mind in recent days.
"The studio has opted not to go forward with the development of 'The Graysons' at this time as the concept doesn't fit the current strategy for the Batman franchise," the studio said in a statement. "Warner Bros. Television is currently working on several replacement options for the CW."
A failure to launch for The Graysons may very well improve the chances of a Smallville Season 9 - or it could hopefully mean something even better than The Graysons should come down the pipeline. Stay tuned.
"Legion" Casting Update: Alexz Johnson Confirmed As Saturn Girl Last week, we posted the rumor here on KryptonSite that Alexz Johnson (Instant Star) will be playing Imra Ardeen (a.k.a Saturn Girl) in the "Legion" epsiode of Smallville.
The Alexz Johnson fan site Alexzworld has now confirmed this news.

Doomsday In The Shower: Screen Captures From The "Prey" Canadian Promotional Trailer! Thanks to Cyn, we now have screen captures from the Canadian SPACE Channel trailer for tonight's episode, "Prey!"

Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun-Li Poster! Kristin Kreuk (Lana) missed five episodes of Smallville Season Seven to star in the movie Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, which is due for release in February 2009.
The poster art for the film has appeared on a Japanese promotional site (which explains it being in Japanese). Kristin looks fantastic, although our hopes for the movie itself aren't very high.
Since the movie is due out in just four months, a trailer should be coming soon.

Episode #8-12 Title! KryptonSite has now posted the title for the twelfth episode of Smallville Season 8. Would you believe our Spoilers page now has over half of this season's titles posted already?!?
A Message From Souders & Peterson Regarding "The Graysons" Smallville's executive producers Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders have written in with a message to the fans at KryptonSite, clearing up some reports that had been made implying that Smallville may be on its way out...
Dear Smallville fans,
As news and rumors swirl around the development of The Graysons for the CW, we have every intention of letting you, our fans, be the first to know the reality. Never have we been so committed to the continuing success of Smallville as we are to seasons 8 and 9. While we are extremely excited to be working hand-in-hand with Wonderland, Warner Bros. and the CW to create the origin story of Dick Grayson, it has never been intended as a replacement for Smallville, as is speculated in some media. The cast, crew, writers and producers are all working full-steam ahead on a story-line for Clark that allows for seasons of further trials and adventures for our favorite hero. As always, we all have you to thank for achieving eight years of this amazing show that Al and Miles created, and we're looking far beyond!
Brian Peterson & Kelly Souders
Smallville's Souders & Peterson Fly With "The Graysons" The CW may have found their Smallville replacement, or at least a companion series if the show should go for another year.
Variety has announced that Smallville executive producers Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders will soon be taking on another DC Comics legend - Robin - in a series called "The Graysons." Supernatural executive producer McG will also be involved.
Not many details are known about the project at this time. Obviously this series will take place before Robin meets Batman, and before his acrobatic family is murdered. The series will feature young Dick Grayson, who for some reason is using the nickname "D.J.," as "he will face challenges involving first loves, young rivals and his family as he grows up."
Stay tuned for more information when and if it becomes available.
A New Face In Town: Davis Bloome Russ Dimino, who has created some excellent restrospectives on Smallville's "Many Faces" as well as a look at Lex's past associates with his "New Face In Town" spotlight on Tess Mercer, is back with a look at the man who may become one of Clark Kent's deadliest foes - Davis Bloome!
Davis (played by Sam Witwer) makes his first appearance on the Sept. 25 episode of Smallville.
PLEASE NOTE, there may be spoilers within if you don't want to have any idea what is coming in Davis Bloome's future.
Screen Captures From A Generic Season 8 Preview! The CW has created a general/generic preview trailer for Smallville Season 8, and it includes some previously-unseen scenes - including what might be our first look at Doomsday!
A New Face In Town: Tess Mercer Russ Dimino, who has created some excellent restrospectives on Smallville's "Many Faces," returns with a look at one of Smallville's newest faces - Tess Mercer - and explores the history of Lex's assistant characters from the past.
This is just in time for the introduction of Tess on Thursday night's episode!
Season 8 To Start With Ten Episodes Thaks to Mr. Video, we have gotten word of The CW's current plans for the Fall season, which will start Smallville Season 8 off with a bang.
Expect ten episodes to run between the premiere on September 18 and November 20. This fast schedule should allow for a lot of momentum in the first half of the sesaon.
DVD Review: Smallville: The Complete Seventh Season Smallville: The Complete Seventh Season is coming to DVD on September 9 and we've had the opportunity to give the set an advance review, in the first of several DVD reviews you'll be seeing on the site this week.
"Legion" News From Geoff Johns! The Legion of Super-Heroes is coming to Smallville this season... and on a comic book forum, writer Geoff Johns has revealed that the episode is now going to be episode #11. He also had some very nice things to say about the Smallville producers.
"I've already begun working with the Smallville executive producers and head writers - Todd, Darren, Kelly and Brian - and some of the staff - Bryan, Turi, Al and Caroline. They all rock," he says. "They've been super nice, super genuine people and they've welcomed me into their clubhouse with open arms. Working on Smallville has been some of the most fun I've ever had in my career."
He also reveals that "Legion" follows "a really big episode" and some other details about his episode. You can find those comments on the KryptonSite Spoilers Page.
