KryptonSite Scoop: Maxwell Lord Is Coming To Smallville!

Blue Beetle's biggest fan is coming to Smallville.

KryptonSite has gotten confirmation that the character of Maxwell Lord will be appearing in this season's 19th episode, "Charade."

Maxwell Lord first appeared in the humorous Keith Giffen/J.M. DeMatteis Justice League comics of the late 1980's, though in recent years he had taken a much more serious turn, climaxing in the "Sacrifice" storyline of a few years ago.

In several of the comics, Maxwell Lord has exhibited limited mind control powers, and for a time he even infiltrated Superman's psyche. It is unknown if his character will have these same powers on Smallville. As of Feb. 22, IGN has confirmed that he will be played by actor Gil Bellows.

Look for Maxwell Lord in "Charade" in April.
