NEWS POSTED APRIL 1, 2011

KryptonSite Closes Up Shop May 13

It is with great sadness that I announce that KryptonSite will cease to exist on May 13 at 10PM (ET), right as Smallville airs its last minutes.

To have the site be a continued reminder of the show that will no longer be with us is just kind of a depressing notion to me. Hopefully all of the readers understand. It's been a wonderful ride.

Kristin KreukKryptonSite Exclusive: Kristin Kreuk Returns For The Smallville Series Finale After All... And She's Not Alone

EXCLUSIVE: A few weeks ago, fandom was buzzing with news that longtime Smallville fan favorite Kristin Kreuk would not be returning for the show's series finale on May 13.

Guess what?

They were just trying to throw us off.

Despite attempts from the show's producers and Kristin Kreuk herself to hide the truth, sources confirm to us exclusively that Kristin will be appearing in not just one, but BOTH chapters of the May 13 Smallville series finale. Kristin's scenes were shot by director Kevin Fair during the period of time that was allotted for "Finale Part 1" and will be spread between both episodes.

And that's not all! Another Smallville veteran will be returning to the show.... as Lana's husband.

Yes, you read it right. Husband.

We've been asked to keep this a surprise, but we can reveal some hints. The show's ending, what do we have to lose?

This returning cast member played a character who died on the series, yet we never saw a body. His character has been romantically linked with Lana in the past. However, this actor is not currently on another CW series, so that rules out Ian Somerhalder and Jensen Ackles.

Guesses?

Post them on our forum!

smallville original posterAlfred Gough & Miles Millar Reveal How They Would End Smallville

While promoting their new Charlie's Angels series to TVFine.com, Smallville creators Alfred Gough & Miles Millar broke their silence regarding the show to reveal how they would have ended the show.

"We didn't intend to ever actually show the costume," Gough said in an exclusive interview on the site. "We also assumed we'd have our entire core cast" - a list that includes Michael Rosenbaum, Allison Mack, and Kristin Kreuk - "because we always thought we'd end around Season 7."

Other shockers? The Gough/Millar Smallville finale would have been Clark Kent's first day at the Daily Planet across from Lois Lane - and at least one major character would die. But one thing is for sure - the Clark and Lana romance would still be "at the emotional center."

"He's got to say goodbye," Gough admitted. "Lana is his past, and although she'll always be his soul mate; they just didn't work out."

smallville highTop-Secret Filming At The Smallville Studio Revealed; Spin-Off Happening After All?

As many of us are unfortunately well aware, Smallville had its last days at the Burnaby, BC studio last week. But some of the show's iconic sets still stand, and several key crew members and producers have been seen on the lot, after everything was allegedly all finished.

There has also been some activity going on down in Langley, the real home of the Kent Farm house, and at Templeton High School, which was used as the location for Smallville High many years ago. But if Smallville is indeed over, what is going on here?

Sources of ours - who are risking being fired just by talking to us - have revealed that the producers are rolling the dice by producing a short, 20-minute pilot presentation that we've heard by two working titles - Smallville High or Titans, depending on certain clearances and arrangements with DC Comics.

smallville highWhile not the Metropolis spin-off some were hoping for, our sources tell us that this short pilot focuses on Conner Kent (Lucas Grabeel) as he enrolls at Smallville High - but this time, his peers are made up of some teen titans who have their own brand of young justice.

Jaren Brandt Bartlett is already signed up as Jaime Reyes/The Blue Beetle. When we asked who else we might see on the series if there should be one, we were told the names "Tim, Stephanie, Raven, and Bart" have been considered... although we were told by Kyle Gallner himself that he has not been approached to reprise the role. Producers are hoping for but have not yet locked down David Gallagher and Allison Scagliotti, the "Wonder Twins" from "Idol" as series regulars should the show happen. Laura Vandervoort was approached for a cameo in the pilot presentation but she is currently in Toronto filming a romantic movie with Nick Zano for ABC.

There are also non-super characters said to be involved in the pilot presentation, including "Lori and Simon" who we imagine are the two super-friends from the Superboy comic book. A top-secret member of Smallville's regular cast - here's a hint, she's female - has also stayed in Vancouver to participate in the pilot. The Clayton and Zoe characters from Smallville's "Homecoming" have been considered based on actor availability.

"Unlike Clark, who went at this alone, with Conner we're going to see him grow up in a world where the heroes are well known," our source told us, while warning that it might take a bit of coaxing for Tom Welling to make an appearance as the most famous hero at all. Tom has, however, expressed interest in directing.

smallville highErica Durance Cast In The Secret Circle

Erica Durance is the latest genre TV favorite to be cast in The CW's pilot The Secret Circle.

Bricky Tierns of Buzz4It.com revealed the news this morning that Erica will be playing Amelia Blake, the mother of Britt Robertson's Cassie, in the pilot episode - and, we assume, subsequent guest appearances if it goes to series. And before you complain that she's too young for the role - remember the last actress to play Britt's mom was Shiri Appleby, and remember that Amelia had Cassie at age 17.

You can read more about The Secret Circle at KSiteTV. If the pilot goes well, the show could be on The CW this Fall.

The CW's Official Description For The "Finale" - Complete With An Image Of Tom In The Suit!

A bit earlier than we expected, we've gotten official episode description listings for the two-hour series finale of Smallville. We also have, albeit very small, the first image of Tom Welling in the Superman costume.

Take a look - Spoiler Warning!

smallville original poster"Dollie" Begins: The Green Arrow/Black Canary Romance Starts With "Dominion"

In the comic books, although he has fathered children with other women, Oliver Queen has only been married once... and the person he was married to was not named Chloe Sullivan. Considering the ending of "Fortune," it might be time to get things to how they are supposed to be.

Our sources tell us that when Oliver returns in the season's 20th episode, "Dominion," after realizing that the married life with Chloe just doesn't work and that their marriage might not have even been legal to begin with, some sparks begin to fly with fellow Justice Leaguer Dinah Lance, a.k.a. the Black Canary, who will also be in the two-hour series finale.

Apparently the change to the "Chlollie" relationship, while popular among some fans, came at the request of DC Comics.

"Dominion" airs April 29, 2011.

Sick of that Rebecca Black song "Friday?"

Well, get prepared to get more sick of it.

Hollywood Variety posted a new article last night revealing that the Youtube "sensation" will be a part of The CW's aggressive ad campaigns for the final episodes of Smallville and Supernatural this season.
