Superman & Lois Teaser Trailer: “Clark Kent, Back in Smallville”

The CW has released a new teaser trailer for their “CWverse” including the upcoming Superman & Lois TV series.

The CW has put together a spotlight video on the various shows in what they call their “CWverse” including DC Comics TV staples Arrow (which just ended), The Flash, DC’s Stargirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning, and Supergirl, before cutting into a sequence spotlighting their newest and most anticipated new series — Superman & Lois!

And what makes this trailer special, while intentional or not, is that it focuses on the return of Clark Kent to Smallville — where Smallville, of course, was The CW’s first DC hit. There is imagery from Crisis on Infinite Earths and Elseworlds within, much of which that would be familiar to fans of the CW series that ran for 10 years and starred Tom Welling… heck, if you look closely, you’ll even see Tom once or twice. As a bonus: There’s new dialogue we haven’t heard before… and some music that we are assuming may be new theme music for the series! (GIVE US OPENING TITLES, PLEASE!)

In any event, you can see it below, and you can spread your Superman & Lois excitement by following KryptonSite’s SupermanLoisTV on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Superman & Lois premieres in January 2021 on The CW, and the show stars Tyler Hoechlin, Elizabeth Tulloch, Jordan Elsass, Alexander Garfin, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Erik Valdez, Inde Navarette, Dylan Walsh, and Wole Parks.

Are they using any of the Smallville locations for this show? I know the homestead was re-used for the Kent’s home on Earth-38 in Elseworlds (and for the original Kent home in Crisis, of course) but since we’re now on Earth Prime they’re not necessarily beholden to using it a third time.

Creation Announces Salute to Smallville 2025!

Creation Entertainment has announced their second Smallville convention, happening September 2025 in the Chicago area.

In October, Creation Entertainment hosted their first-ever “Salute to Smallville” convention – featuring such guests as Tom Welling, Michael Rosenbaum, Kristin Kreuk, Erica Durance, Laura Vandervoort, Aaron Ashmore, and John Glover. The first event was a fantastic experience for all, with fans and talent alike having a great time surrounding themselves with others who love Smallville. Like Creation’s Supernatural “Creation Tour,” friends were made, friends reunited… and we can’t wait to do it again. As a bonus, KryptonSite’s very own Craig Byrne (the writer of this article!) got to host/emcee the event with our good friend and Starkville’s House of El podcaster (the OG of SV Podcasters!) Derek Russell.

Well, you’re in luck: Today, Creation formally announced their next Smallville event! Held September 13-14, 2025 in the Chicago area, the second “Salute to Smallville” has already announced that Tom Welling, Michael Rosenbaum, Erica Durance, and Kristin Kreuk are scheduled to attend, with more to come — and the announcement comes with a new website which should have a somewhat familiar design. (Full disclosure: It was purposely designed to look like KryptonSite, and it was largely put together by the author of this very article.) As a bonus, the new website includes some exclusive short videos from last month’s event!

Even better: Gold Weekend Experience passes are already available to order for the absolute best seats, the exclusive Gold Panel, and additional perks. If you order yours now you can be the among the first to sign up, and ideally, to show Creation that we’d like to see more of these things! Several autographs and photo opportunities are also up to pre-order, so you can get in before they all sell out. Frankly, ordering now also shows Creation that putting together this new website was a good investment, as well, which would make this author extremely grateful.
