Supergirl “Stronger Together” Overnight Ratings Report

The numbers will surely grow when DVR is factored in, but the initial overnight ratings for Supergirl Episode 2 “Stronger Together” have the episode at close to 9 million viewers – 8.85 million, to be exact. With a 2.2/7 in the Ages 18-49 demo, the show came in second place for the 8-9PM hour and was tied with Blindspot for the highest-rated scripted series of the night.

That’s a bit of a drop from the series premiere, which also benefited from a Big Bang Theory lead-in. Mondays at 8 are tough for competition as it is, but with positive word of mouth, Supergirl should keep up its numbers. Don’t go calling it #Terriblegirl just yet, because tying for first place in the demo for scripted is still pretty great. The show is also surely bringing CBS a new audience for their hour-long drama series.
