[APRIL FOOL’S 2015] Smallville’s Allison Mack To Make Surprise Arrow Appearance

This was an April Fool’s story. It is NOT true.

There has been a bit of hype surrounding tonight’s episode of Arrow as Charlotte Ross returns as Felicity Smoak’s mother, Donna… preview images from that episode, which airs at 8PM on The CW, can be found here… but we have also uncovered details about another relative of Felicity’s that shows up on tonight’s installment…. an appearance that, for some reason, has not been promoted or teased at all.

What’s going on? In the second big Smallville-related piece of news to come today (after Tom Welling being in the Supergirl pilot) we have learned that Allison Mack, who played Felicity 1.0 also known as “Chloe Sullivan” for 10 seasons of Smallville, will be making a surprise appearance on Arrow tonight as Felicity’s never-before-mentioned older sister Joanne, who comes to Starling City with their mother after something tragic happens. Allison is expected to appear in multiple episodes of Arrow as it is said that her character knows the whereabouts of Felicity’s father.

Allison Mack’s other recent credits include The Following and Wilfred.

Maybe they want to keep this a secret, like Matt Letscher’s character in last night’s Flash. In any event, April 1 will go down in history as a big day to be a Smallville fan, with all of this casting news. You can see screen captures of Allison’s Arrow appearance here.
