Smallville’s Al Gough Congratulates Tyler Hoechlin

The man who brought us the last Superman on TV has congratulated the next one.

Al Gough, who with Miles Millar was a co-creator on Smallville starring Tom Welling, Tweeted his congratulations this morning to Tyler Hoechlin, the actor who has landed the coveted role of Superman in Supergirl Season 2.

“The legacy continues,” Gough said in his Tweet.

Smallville, of course, had another legacy torch-passing of its own, having included Christopher Reeve in scenes with Welling in two episodes, the first being “Rosetta” which is considered one of the best episodes of the series.
