Was optimism and cheer the right direction to take for Supergirl?
If a new report on CosmicComicsNews.com is to believed, Warner Bros. may already be hatching plans to do something different with the property, after the financial success of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. And to do so, they’re recruiting the director of BvS, Zack Snyder.
CCN’s insiders say that Warner Bros. is looking for a sexy, “edgy” Supergirl with a bit of a naughty streak, after positive fan reaction to Harley Quinn in the Suicide Squad trailer. Some possible production art was leaked (to your left), showing what Supergirl may look like in the DCCU movie. Casting directors are looking for actresses who “must be willing to show off their bodies,” though insiders imply that Snyder may use an actress he’s worked with before, like Sucker Punch’s Emily Browning. This Supergirl also won’t do simple things like saving kittens from trees or helping people put together their IKEA tables. “She’d be more liable to tell them off and to do it themselves,” CCN’s insider said. “If Superman is essentially a God, Kara Zor-El is a Goddess, and she doesn’t suffer human fools.”
The site alleges that Snyder’s Supergirl movie is the reason we haven’t gotten official word yet on Supergirl Season 2, even though it has been insisted that the TV and movie worlds are separate.
Supergirl’s presence in the DC Cinematic Universe was revealed in a comic book story released around the time of Man of Steel. Nothing has been said yet on if that will be reflected in the movie. One thing’s for certain, judging from the looks of Man of Steel and Batman v Superman and Snyder’s other work like Watchmen and Sucker Punch — it will definitely be a beautiful looking movie if it comes to pass.

NO! Both MoS and BvS were soulless to their core! Don't let him touch Supergirl!
Oh no no no!! You ruined Superman...you ruined Lex Luther...Wonder Women and the rest of the Justice League (how the hell did you get Batman right). Leave comic movies to professionals!
