Okay, so we’ve kind of been back for a few weeks now, but now it’s official: Go to the homepage of KryptonSite.com and BAM, you no longer arrive at something that looks like it was designed in 2003.
Instead, you find something that looks like it was designed in 2008. Just kidding.
In all seriousness, the notion of another Superman Family TV show – now, the show being Supergirl – gets us out of hiding any time – even though a lot of the KryptonSite team has been busy with our general TV news site, KSiteTV, our Arrow portal GreenArrowTV and our Flash site FlashTVNews, among other things.
Now, who knows. Supergirl the CBS pilot could be a disaster and not hit the air. Considering the talent involved behind and in front of the camera, we doubt it, but there’s no such thing as a sure thing. Just ask How I Met Your Dad. Or Aquaman. If it goes nowhere, hey, at least we got an improved KryptonSite out of the deal, right?
The Internet has changed a lot since KryptonSite was a regularly updated thing. Now, you can go on Twitter and learn stuff as it happens. New photos will drop and 60 different outlets will post them all at once. Comic-Con is nearly impossible to get into. Our favorite stars from our favorite shows are Tweeting and interacting with us, maybe even posting Facebook videos for our enjoyment.
But, one thing will never change: that Superman world, ideally, brings out the best in us. We will believe a person can fly. It took Tom Welling’s Clark Kent about ten years, so let’s hope Melissa Benoist’s Kara starts flying faster. You can find us on Twitter, on Facebook… and as they said in an even earlier Superman TV show… “if you ever need to find me, all you need to do is look up!”
Welcome back.
Oh, and if you’re looking for the old KryptonSite — all of the old articles, and the archive, and all that… it still exists. It’s not going anywhere. The forums aren’t as active as they once were, but they’re still running and happening at KSiteTV. And, heck, to make things even easier, all of Triplet’s Smallville reviews are all collated in one place now, if you’re feeling especially nostalgic.
