This past Sunday, the cast of Superman & Lois was featured at the PaleyFest sponsored by the Paley Center for Media. The annual event spotlights many of the biggest and most memorable shows of TV history — and this time, almost the entire cast of the show honored the Kodak Theater with their presence.
Because we’ve been in a global pandemic, KryptonSite had been unable to interview any of the Superman & Lois cast in person — but, at this event, we very much were able to, with videos still being uploaded to our KSiteTV YouTube channel. A highlight of all of this was the opportunity for KryptonSite’s Craig Byrne to talk to “Superman” and “Lois Lane” themselves – Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch! And of course, the first question was about the show’s April 26 return episode “Bizarros in a Bizarro World.”
“It’s so huge,” Tulloch promises. “Episode 11 last year, which was the flashback episode with Lois and Clark, was the love letter to the fans last season, and this episode – the Bizarro World episode – very much feels like we’re going to do something really special for you guys. It’s different, it’s wild, it’s sexy, it’s crazy!”
“It’s very fitting with our show, but completely different at the same time,” Tyler adds. “It’s going to be a lot of fun. I had some of the most fun I’ve had doing the show, filming that episode.”
And what is it like to be part of such a major part of pop culture, playing such iconic characters?
“It’s humbling,” Hoechlin says. “We really appreciate the chance to do it. We both take the responsibility of playing the characters really seriously. It’s fun to be a part of something that’s been around for so long, and will probably go on for a long time after we’re done. It’s nice to be the vessels for these characters for this moment in time.”
Elizabeth adds that they are “very grateful.”
“This is an extremely fun role to play, with an extremely fun partner,” she says.
