The CW's Official Description & An Image Of Tom Welling In Costume From Smallville's Two-Hour "Finale"

We didn't expect to get an early hold of this, but KryptonSite can now exclusively share with you the official description for the May 13 series finale of Smallville. Lots of spoilers and previously-unrevealed guest stars within!

We also got a hold of the first promo still of Tom Welling in his Superman costume, which you can see to the right. This photo will be seen in a major magazine very soon. As soon as we have a higher-resolution version, we will post it.

SUPERMAN BEGINS - ORIGINAL SERIES STARS MICHAEL ROSENBAUM, ALLISON MACK, KRISTIN KREUK, JOHN SCHNEIDER, JOHN GLOVER, AND ANNETTE O'TOOLE GUEST STAR — Chloe (Allison Mack), Lana (Kristin Kreuk), Martha (Annette O'Toole), and Sam Lane (Michael Ironside) return to Smallville for the wedding of Clark (Tom Welling) and Lois (Erica Durance). With Lionel's (John Glover) help, Darkseid takes his final form and disrupts the wedding. Clark and the Justice League must turn to the other world's Jonathan Kent (John Schneider) to serve as a vessel for Orion to stop Darkseid.

In the second hour, Clark picks up after the events that destroyed his wedding and embraces his destiny - but first must face tragedy as Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum) returns and kills someone who has tied him to humanity. Past Smallville favorites Michael McKean, Lucas Grabeel, Emmanuelle Vaugier, Kyle Gallner, Alaina Huffman, Lee Thompson Young, Alan Ritchson, Serinda Swan, Aaron Ashmore, Ryan Kennedy, Eric Johnson, Terence Stamp, Sarah-Jane Redmond, and Laura Vandervoort all make appearances in the two-hour "Finale" event that ends Smallville's record-breaking ten-year run. Justin Hartley and Cassidy Freeman also star. Greg Beeman and Kevin Fair directed the story written by Al Septien & Turi Meyer and Kelly Souders & Brian Peterson (#3AF1021/22).
