Here’s something a little different, as we visit the comic book side of the Superman world for a moment, courtesy of DC Comics.
As you know, the folks behind this site are big fans of the Super-comics that have inspired the various TV projects from Krypton that we’ve seen over the years. We were fans of the old “pre-Flashpoint” DC Universe and are excited that we’ll see some of those characters again over a period of two months with an event DC is calling Convergence.
So, naturally, we jumped at the chance when DC Comics offered us the chance to share an exclusive first look at two pages from the upcoming Convergence: Superboy, which goes on sale April 15. Here’s the solicitation detail for the issue:
CONVERGENCE: SUPERBOY #1
Written by FABIAN NICIEZA
Art by KARL MOLINE and JOSE MARZAN, JR.
Cover by BABS TARR
Has Kon-El earned the right to be the new Man of Steel? Kon will have to prove his mettle in battle against the Superman of Kingdom Come! But what if the only way to save Metropolis is to lose the fight?
If you’re nostalgic for the old DCU, this should touch the spot. The only thing that would make this better would be a Tom Grummett cover, am I right? The preview pages – recapping the story of the modern “classic Superboy” – can be seen below. And if a married Lois and Superman is more your thing to revisit, Convergence: Superman is due out the same week.

I still hope that DC Comics Convergence Superboy/Supergirl will lead to the return of their individual monthly title. I like the way the story fill in the gap when Supergirl/Superboy return from the unknown.
This serid in supergirl go lf at great sucess per warner channel!
