If you ever see "AoS" referenced anywhere among Smallville fans, it's because it has the glamorous title: "The Arc of Suck."

To be fair, there are some good episodes in the batch where Lana Lang returned in Season 8. "Bride" and "Legion" are two of the best of the entire series. "Bulletproof," "Power," and "Requiem," though -- even though there was a nice goodbye scene between Clark and Lana -- not so much.

The arc left Lana filled with kryptonite, so she and Clark truly couldn't be together. That kryptonite power would have come in handy the next year when the Kandorians were all over the place; but sadly, Lana was never seen again.

Nearly 36% of those who voted picked this as the worst story arc.

The next choice also involved Lana, and that was the Lex-Lana romance and "fake baby." I still want to know why Lex was so surprised in "Static," when he's the one who orchestrated the whole thing. That had 450 votes.

And... here's where the hate threads start on Sweet... "Lana Possessed By Isobel The Witch," in Season 4, was voted third least favorite, with 380 votes. Hey, I don't make these things up, I just report them, so leave your haterade at the door to the Fortress.
