Over
$30,000 Raised In John Glover's 2006 Alzheimer's Auction
This
year's auction of
Smallville items to benefit the Alzheimer's Association,
Greater Maryland Chapter has raised over $30,000.
Here
is the press release from the Alzheimer's Association:
SMALLVILLE AUCTION RAISES RECORD NUMBERS…….AGAIN!!!!
Another successful year has unfolded for the SMALLVILLE
auction sponsored by John Glover to benefit the Alzheimer’s
Association. For the third year, the fans have been extremely
generous and supportive. Amazingly, with 60 items auctioned
off, the Alzheimer’s Association raised over $30,000!!!!!
Items were sold and delivered all over the world from
Japan to the UK; to Australia; to Germany and of course throughout
the U.S. The most prized items that raised the most money
were Tom Welling’s Norco Cruiser bike that sold for $1,825;
a block of kryptonite signed by Tom Welling sold for $2,003;
the handmade afghan made by the cast and crew sold for $1,525;
metal spaceship key signed by Tom Welling $1,625; and the
signed “Reckoning” script by the cast $1,325.
I wanted to take an opportunity to recognize
all of the people who make it possible for this auction to happen.
Kendra from the production office and all of the cast and crew
at SMALLVILLE, thank you for being so generous with your time
and your talents. Special thanks to Craig Byrne at KryptonSite
for providing promotion and items for the auction. Also thanks
to Robert Warden, Jeff Bassett, and Steven Kirk for providing
wonderful items for auction. AND A HUGE THANK YOU TO JOHN GLOVER
FOR MAKING IT HAPPEN!
