Allison Mack has been released from prison after serving two years of her three-year sentence. According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons website and noted by the Albany Times-Union, she was released on Monday, July 3.
The actress, who before this was best known as Clark Kent’s best friend “Chloe Sullivan” on Smallville, was charged for her role in the NXIVM “sex cult” led by Keith Rainere. Graphic mutilation was done to members of the group in which Allison was heavily involved. She assisted prosecutors in the case against Raniere, which is why she received a significantly smaller sentence than she could have had. Charges against Mack included racketeering, extortion, and recruiting and grooming women to be sexual partners for Raniere. The judge in the case described Allison as an “essential accomplice” to Raniere, with one victim comparing her to Jeffrey Epstein’s right-hand woman Ghislaine Maxwell.
Allison starred as Chloe in around 200 of the 218 episodes of Smallville’s ten-season run, only serving part time in the show’s final season in 2010-2011.
