Although many may have forgotten that it was a thing that was happening, Syfy’s Superman family prequel Krypton is still a thing — and a trailer has made its way online today.
Chances are good that the trailer will be removed from the Internet sooner rather than later, unless Syfy gives it an official release, but for now, check it out… it looks a lot cooler than expected, doesn’t it?
A 2017 release date is listed; though do note that this promo includes the old DC Comics logo, so that may have changed.
Until it is released from YouTube, you can find the trailer below, courtesy of JoBlo:
[UPDATE: It looks like it has, indeed, been wiped from YouTube, at least. But “DC World” has it on Vimeo, while it lasts.]

Here’s how the project is described:
Syfy’s Krypton, the much-anticipated Superman prequel set two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel’s home planet, will follow Superman’s grandfather — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos.
Krypton stars Cameron Cuffe as Seg-El (Superman’s grandfather), Georgina Campbell as Lyta Zod, Ian McIlhinney as Val-El, Elliot Cowan as Daron Vex, Ann Ogombo as Alura Zod, Rasmus Hardiker as Kem, Wallis Day as Nyssa-Vex, and Aaron Pierre as Dev-Em. Executive producers are David S. Goyer (Constantine) and Ian Goldberg (Once Upon a Time). The pilot is directed by Colm McCarthy.
