After 468 days of waiting, we finally get to see what’s next after the climactic battle at the end of Superman & Lois Season 3! The fourth season begins TONIGHT (October 7… pay no attention to the date on that poster) with two back-to-back episodes, “The End & The Beginning” and “A World Without,” perfectly kicking off what will surely be a great season! Look for them on the show’s current network, The CW.

The bad news, though, is that Season 4 will be the final season for Superman & Lois, and that we’re only getting 10 episodes to finish the series, so after tonight, there are only 8 more coming! Additionally, due to budget issues related to The CW’s new direction, the show will only have 5 series regulars… but don’t worry! Everyone who was a former series regular in Season 3 will be back for Season 4, and the episodes we’ve seen so far are so packed you wouldn’t even notice.

Grimm star and husband to Bitsie Tulloch, David Giuntoli, is the director of the third episode of Superman & Lois Season 4. The title of the episode is “Always My Hero” and it airs on Monday, October 14. Trust, you are not ready for this one. And, hey, look…. John Henry and Nat are back! Here’s the description:

Season four of SUPERMAN & LOIS picks up right where last season left off: with Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) and Luthor’s monster locked in a ferocious, moon-wrecking battle, as Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) fights for his life against the seemingly unstoppable creature. Back on the ground, General Lane (guest star Dylan Walsh) struggles to stay alive after being kidnapped by Luthor’s henchmen, while Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch), Jordan (Alex Garfin), and Jonathan (Michael Bishop) race against time to rescue him. But standing in their way is Lex Luthor (Michael Cudlitz) himself, who has permanently moved to Smallville as the next step in his malicious plan to destroy Lois Lane. Meanwhile, Lana Lang (guest star Emanuelle Chriqui) uses her position as Mayor to fight back against Luthor’s schemes, a move which puts her in the sights of the most dangerous man in the world and threatens everything she holds dear. The CW has released promotional photos for the second episode of Superman & Lois Season 4. The episode is called “A World Without” and we can probably surmise from the latest trailer that it’s about a world without Superman. Returning cast members making their first Season 4 appearances in this episode include Emmanuelle Chriqui and Inde Navarrette.
