Supergirl Trailer!!!

CBS has released the trailer for their upcoming series Supergirl starring Melissa Benoist.

Published

CBS has released the first trailer for Supergirl, clocking in at about 6 minutes and basically being perfection.

Melissa Benoist plays Kara/Supergirl in a cast that includes Chyler Leigh, Mehcad Brooks, Jeremy Jordan, Calista Flockhart, and more. Oh, and look… it appears that Dean Cain and Helen Slater are indeed playing Kara’s adoptive parents, the Danvers. SPOILER WARNING!!!

How fitting is it that exactly 4 years to the day after Smallville left our TV screens, we get a new Kryptonian to root for.

Needless to say, we’re sold.

Come talk about the trailer on our forum for Supergirl!

Are you kidding me?!? I am infuriated. This show took superman’s female counterpart, someone just as powerful as him, and reduced her show to a rom-com with her being supergirl as a background plot. There wasn’t one action scene that you would have seen in a male led show like arrow and flash. This show looked like it would be a huge success and one of the greats in female led superhero shows but it will just be another one to put on the list of worst shows with female leads

Perfection? A Jimmy Olsen so different from classic Jimmy, that many fans don’t like him already, he should’ve been a new character, it would’ve made more sense. This Cat Grant is not classic either, among other unnecessary changes to the source material, so it is far, far from perfect. The score was not very inspiring either, the first trailer from the Flash was much better IMO. I will give it a chance though, but expectations from many fans don’t seem to be very high, there’s a lot of scepticism.

Disgrace to the series and all things DC but what do I know, I’m only a fan since early childhood.

I don’t know, I’ve been an early fan since childhood and I loved it, and don’t think it’s a disgrace at all to anything DC. Not sure I follow you…

I think its a bit early to judge weather it will be bad or good based on 6 minutes of footage! If Arrow showed a 6 minute trailer before airing the pilot of the wrong 6 minutes of the pilot you might have said the same thing. Watch the first episode when it airs then make a decision

I’ve shown my 8 and 11 year old daughters this and they are excited for it. No, its not the classic source material – which has changed a half dozen times since Crisis. And to the RomCom criticism, I think its less that and more a coming of age. And every one of the current superhero shows has an element of romance going on – Arrow has a ton. Flash, heck even Agents of Shield.

I don’t expect perfection right out of the gate. It has promise and potential. Hopefully CBS gives it a season to find itself – and hopefully it does. I want this for my kids!

More Smallville Funkos Are Coming – Pre-Order Now!

New Smallville Funko figures are on the way for three characters.

Published

Here’s some holiday cheer we weren’t expecting to see: Funko has announced three more Smallville POP!s, with two based on Season 10 elements and one based on Season 8.

Clark’s red leather jacket from Season 10 gets the spotlight in one of them, showing off the outfit/”costume” worn by the Blur (Tom Welling) in the final season. Next, we’ve got a “Kara Kent” looking very Supergirly as she looked in the Season 10 episode “Supergirl.”

And then there’s Doomsday… Max?!? We have no idea what “Doomsday Max” means. It sounds like a bad name for a soda or a streaming service. But it is based on the Season 8 take on Doomsday, and it’s too bad it doesn’t come as part of a 2-pack with a Davis Bloome.

We’re assuming these will be out in 2025 sometime; updates will come when and if they become available. Any and all new Smallville merch is always welcome, especially considering the recent resurgence of excitement around the series. And in success, who could be next? Lana? More Justice Leaguers? Tess? Dr. Emil? Lionel? The Kents? John Jones? Pete? Amy Adams eating a deer? Anything’s possible… though a Chloe Funko POP! would surprise us at this point due to the actress’ real-life situations.

UPDATE: Pre-order links are now here! Order through KryptonSite’s links and help support this site!

Creation Announces Salute to Smallville 2025!

Creation Entertainment has announced their second Smallville convention, happening September 2025 in the Chicago area.

Published

on

In October, Creation Entertainment hosted their first-ever “Salute to Smallville” convention – featuring such guests as Tom Welling, Michael Rosenbaum, Kristin Kreuk, Erica Durance, Laura Vandervoort, Aaron Ashmore, and John Glover. The first event was a fantastic experience for all, with fans and talent alike having a great time surrounding themselves with others who love Smallville. Like Creation’s Supernatural “Creation Tour,” friends were made, friends reunited… and we can’t wait to do it again. As a bonus, KryptonSite’s very own Craig Byrne (the writer of this article!) got to host/emcee the event with our good friend and Starkville’s House of El podcaster (the OG of SV Podcasters!) Derek Russell.

Well, you’re in luck: Today, Creation formally announced their next Smallville event! Held September 13-14, 2025 in the Chicago area, the second “Salute to Smallville” has already announced that Tom Welling, Michael Rosenbaum, Erica Durance, and Kristin Kreuk are scheduled to attend, with more to come — and the announcement comes with a new website which should have a somewhat familiar design. (Full disclosure: It was purposely designed to look like KryptonSite, and it was largely put together by the author of this very article.) As a bonus, the new website includes some exclusive short videos from last month’s event!

Even better: Gold Weekend Experience passes are already available to order for the absolute best seats, the exclusive Gold Panel, and additional perks. If you order yours now you can be the among the first to sign up, and ideally, to show Creation that we’d like to see more of these things! Several autographs and photo opportunities are also up to pre-order, so you can get in before they all sell out. Frankly, ordering now also shows Creation that putting together this new website was a good investment, as well, which would make this author extremely grateful.
