"Something tells me I'm not in Kansas anymore..."
-- Alternate Clark seeing a Smallville that's completely different from the one he's used to, in Smallville episode "A Piece of the Action"

DEAN CAIN TO GUEST STAR ON "SMALLVILLE"
Reported by Craig Byrne (PlanetKrypton@aol.com)

The Coming Cool Entertainment website reports that Dean Cain will once again be putting on the Super-suit to appear in an episode of "Smallville" as... guess who?

"It will be interesting to see how Clark reacts to his older self from another dimension," the episode's writer told the website.

Rumors point to this being the Alternate-Clark from "Tempus Anyone" and "Lois and Clarks," somehow being sent to the wrong place in the latter episode.

Dean is signed but it is not known yet when the episode, "Smallville"'s sixth, will even be shooting. It all depends on the upcoming writers' and actors' strikes.

"LOIS & CLARK: THE COMPLETE DVD COLLECTION" BEGINS
If you swing by your local Best Buy or check Amazon.com you may be in for a treat. Don't ask why this fell under our radar before, but due to the excellent sales of the "Superman" movies, WB has decided to release all 87 episodes of "Lois & Clark" to the DVD format.

"Lois & Clark: The First Season" came out this week. It features all 21 episodes from the first year, and the Pilot. Additional features on the DVD include cast interviews, the "lost" scenes from the Pilot, and the original promotional tape created before the show. There is also a commentary with writer/producer Deborah Joy LeVine going over the Pilot episode.

The 6-DVD collection retails for $109.95. Pretty steep, but hey, we don't have the fan base "The X-Files" has ;) If the first set sells well, look for the other three seasons soon.

"LOIS & CLARK" SEEN IN MOVIE
(This article contains SPOILERS about Kevin Smith's upcoming film "Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back"... you have been warned)

Kevin Smith's upcoming film "Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back," the fifth of his "New Jersey" movies, is said to have a surprise for "Lois & Clark" fans. Unfortunately it may not be a good one.

In one scene, Brodie Bruce (played by the excellent Jason Lee) is hosting a lecture on the failure of the Superman property. (Ironic since Kevin Smith was set to write a "Superman" film in the late 90's) One of the Lois & Clark "steam posters" is shown on an overhead projector, and then unfortunately, Brodie then goes to a slide of Lois (Teri Hatcher) eating a frog from "I Now Pronounce You," illustrating the show's decline. It still should be fun to see Lois and Clark at least remembered on the big screen, however.

TRIVIA

Shouldn't you have figured out by now that everything in this issue of Planet Krypton was a great big

APRIL FOOL?

Yes, indeed... Dean Cain is *not* going to be on Smallville (that we know of), and Lois & Clark is sadly not coming to the DVD format anytime soon (though doesn't it sound cool?)

This is actually the fifth "April Fools" issue we have done, so hopefully most of you knew what was coming and didn't freak out too much. For past April Fools issues, you can find them at

And you know... once or twice there has been news in the April Fools issues that turned out to be true!
