"SUPERHEROES
AT THE MOVIES" SITE FEATURES "SMALLVILLE" SAMPLES
Reported by Craig Byrne (PlanetKrypton@aol.com)
The "Superheroes at the Movies" website
(http://www.shatm.com) features a small portion of the script for
"Smallville" that was given to actors Tom Welling and
Kristin Kreuk when auditioning for the roles. Who knows if any of
these "sides" will appear in the actual script, but if
you go to the SHATM website, hopefully you'll find it. Sadly,
SHATM does not allow direct links, or I couldn't find a way to
directly link, so you'll have to go right to the link...

You may have to look around to find the "Smallville"
stuff, going to the "News" section is a good start. I
have to say that if this is an indicator of what the series will
be, it could turn out to be a *lot* of fun. Witty dialogue which
sometimes reminds you of the Lois and Clark "flirting."
Look for some more big "Smallville" news here at Planet
Krypton hopefully later this week.

Fanfiction Awards. To see which stories won (and possibly read

Congratulations to all of the winners, and everyone who was
nominated!
FORMER FoLC's FATHER RUNS FOR L.A. MAYOR
You may remember several years ago, especially on AOL, there
being a small "Lois & Clark" fan club known as
"SuperFoLCs." Edited by Jacob Soboroff, the newsletter
lasted quite a bit of time before Jacob closed up shop and
started contributing to this very newsletter.
Jacob's father, Steve Soboroff, is running for Mayor of Los
Angeles now, and has a pretty good chance at winning. So, if
you're curious about Mr. Soboroff's platform, check out his
website at:
http://www.soboroffformayor.com
Note that this is not a political ad of any sort, just letting
fans know who might remember Jacob from the FoLC days.
AIRING THIS MORNING: "REQUIEM FOR A SUPERHERO"
Sam Lane wasn't always the way he appeared to be in later
"Lois & Clark" episodes such as "Home Is Where
The Hurt Is," when played by Harve Presnell. When his
character first appeared, he was somewhat mean, which would
explain why Lois and Ellen Lane turned out the way they did.
Played by Denis Arndt, you just really didn't like this guy, and
you could meet him in the first-season "L&C"
episode "Requiem for a Superhero." It's on this morning
at 8AM (ET) on TNT.
