"Step on outside, female hawk, and don't you return until you are singin' with the choir."
-- Larry Smiley, "Just Say Noah"

Former "Lois & Clark" writer and producer John McNamara will be one of the producers of CBS's new TV series based on the movie "The Fugitive" this fall. (The film was actually originally based on a TV series... go figure). I'd like to think I read someplace that a former star of "Wings" will be the lead in this series; can someone write and tell me if I'm correct?

I'd like to apologize to Sarah Hernandez for not including her in the "Special Thanks To..." section of the last newsletter. Sarah passed along the news about Teri's unfavorable comments, and I forgot to attribute it to the correct person. D'oh!!

And especially good news... if you have any friends who are or were fans of "Lois & Clark" who are not on AOL and would still like to subscribe to the Krypton Club Newsletter, send them over to the new Krypton Club list at ONElist. You can find it at
http://www.onelist.com/community/PlanetKrypton

Finally, if you enjoyed the Krypton Club's Unaired Fifth Season and/or are a fan of online fanfiction writing in general, you might want to check out Mystique Point, an online "web soap" created by a friend of mine, Justin Stiles. You can find Mystique Point at
http://www.jr.ewing.net/mp/index.html.

See you soon! Oh yeah, and darnit, WRITE! Submit articles too! I want to make this newsletter entertaining!

OPERATION: DON'T TUG ON SUPERMAN'S TAPE!
It's been brought up in the newsletter before, and it's going to be brought up again. While folks overseas may be treated to their own "Lois & Clark" video collections (including a longer Pilot never aired here), us FoLCs here in the States have to make do with our own home tapes or whatever TNT decides to send our way. Does it always have to be this way? Perhaps not.

Columbia House (
www.columbiahouse.com) does video collections for several classic TV series, including many from the Warner Bros. library.

Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that Columbia House has any plans to release "Lois & Clark" as a video collection. Here's where you all come in!

Send e-mail to
vl_customer_service@columbiahouse.com and tell them you want "Lois & Clark" as their next available classic TV series. Perhaps if they get enough people writing in, they may decide "L&C" will be their next addition

FROM THE ARCHIVES....
Three years ago in the Krypton Club Newsletter (Issue #152, 1/18/97), the Krypton Club Newsletter featured this article... obviously things changed, but for another look back in the wayback machine, we present this:

ABC'S TARSES TALKS ABOUT THE FUTURE OF "LOIS & CLARK"
Reported by Craig Byrne

On January 9 during a press tour, ABC Entertainment president Jamie Tarses addressed the topic of "Lois & Clark"'s future. One of the questions asked to her was whether or not "L&C" will be back next season. Tarses responded, "Both the creative team behind 'Lois & Clark' and the network are having a lot of discussions about what we can do to boost the ratings on the show. Everyone is making a considerable effort to come to some conclusions and find some solutions there. The show *will* be returning, so we need to figure out what the best time-period is to advantage the show."

Tarses also confirmed that the Sunday 7PM-9PM timeslot will be occupied by "The Wonderful World of Disney" this fall, which would mean "L&C" is making the jump to another night... but as things stand the show will still be on, despite some ugly ratings this year.

TRIVIA!

Jonathan Frakes, who played "Tim Lake" in "Don't Tug On Superman's Cape," is now an executive producer for what sci-fi TV series?

Look for the answer in the next newsletter. The answer to last issue's trivia: Michael Landes' character's name in "Union Square" was "Michael." This coming from the Tony Danza School of Character Names.
