Obviously
an undertaking such as KryptonSite takes up a lot of bandwidth, and that
costs money. Beyond that, though, your webmaster Craig is still barely
employed. How can you help? Ordering through any of the Amazon.com links
always helps, but you can also donate to the site via PayPal! The links
to do so are just below. Thanks!! Any help is appreciated. (And if anyone
out there is interested in a web content/creative/television-obsessed
type guy, please
let me know!)
Smallville DVD
You won't see this in stores in the United States but you
CAN order it through Videoflicks.com.
The DVD includes deleted scenes, a map of Smallville, and, oh yeah, what
sounds like the Smallville pilot and "Metamorphosis."
The DVD also includes commentary from executive producers Alfred Gough
and Miles Millar and pilot director David Nutter. What are you waiting
for? Order
a copy!
Superman
For All Seasons
Smallville explores the story of
a young Clark Kent and his place in the world on television. In the comics,
this was very well illustrated in Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale's "Superman For
All Seasons." This has been labeled a "must read" by many fans and also
listed as the favorite Superman story of recent years by many. Check it
out! Jeph Loeb will be writing and producing for Smallville's second season
so this might be an indicator of what's to come for next year.

Update:
UPN & CBS Set
Season Premieres For September
Both UPN and CBS are planning to start their Fall 2002 seasons in
late September, which could mean that the WB might make a similar
announcement soon as to when their Fall season will begin.
UPN's
Tuesday night combo of Buffy and the new show Haunted
airs on September 24th, and CBS's season premieres of JAG
and The Guardian will also be on that night. Considering
the competitive nature of the broadcast networks, this could lead
to some very good news for fans suffering Smallville withdrawal.
We'll
keep you updated if and when we hear anything.

Tom
Welling in Dreamwatch
Tom
Welling (Clark) is featured on the cover and interviewed in
the latest issue of Dreamwatch magazine.
One
really humorous bit in the article is Tom telling the interviewer
about his high school experience. "I was never hung up like
a scarecrow and I could never flip cars or anything like that, but
not many others could do that either!"
You
can find Dreamwatch at newsstands and most book stores.

Michael
Rosenbaum Talks About Lex With Comics2Film
Apparently
the best way to catch up with Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor)
for an interview is to just catch him at his appearance at the WizardWorld
convention last weekend.
Michael
answered several questions for the always-excellent website Comics2Film.
In the interview Michael tells that there will be "huge things
coming up" in the season premiere, particularly involving Lionel,
Lana, and Clark.
Michael
also told C2F why his Lex would win in a fight with Gene Hackman
and John Shea. "Me. I win. I'm the new, improved Lex Luthor,"
he said. "I'm the young one, and no one's ever done it, you
know, before at all. They started out evil, now you get to see the
journey. And I'm going to get more evil than you can possibly imagine.
There's going to be reasons why. I think that's why people are embracing
my character now, is because they feel for him. They feel sorry
for him, and along the way you'll see why he becomes evil and how
do you hate somebody who you understand?"

Michael
Rosenbaum's 30th!
WireImage.com
has posted some images from a birthday bash held for Michael
Rosenbaum (Lex) on June 30th. Michael's birthday won't be until
next week, so we'll hold off our wishes until then, but you can
see some thumbnails of the event at this
site. If you want to download them it may get expensive.
To
the left of this article you can find a picture of Michael at his
birthday party with Soleil Moon Frye, the former "Punky
Brewster." And one can NEVER hold back the chance to post a
picture of Punky, because she rules. (Hmmm.... PunkySite? Nah...)
And for those of you who just don't have Punky Power, Soleil has
been seen for recent seasons on Sabrina the Teenage Witch
and was Joey's friend who liked to hit people on Friends.
She most definitely wasn't the only star at MR's party, which also
included such folks as Tom Arnold and Cuba Gooding Jr.,
but here at KryptonSite we're just about the Punky.

Annette
O'Toole Co-Writes Songs For New Movie
Smallville's Martha Kent, Annette O'Toole, has co-written
several songs with her husband Michael McKean that will be used
in the upcoming Christopher Guest film "A Mighty Wind."
Michael
McKean also stars in the movie, which also stars many of the usual
suspects from Christopher Guest's films, including Eugene Levy,
Catherine O'Hara, Parker Posey, John Michael Higgins, Michael Hitchcock,
Jane Lynch, Jennifer Coolidge, Bob Balaban, and Ed Begley, Jr..
No word yet on a release date for this Warner Bros./Castle Rock
production, but at least three of the songs co-written by Annette
should be on the soundtrack album.
