John
McNamara's Other "Fugitive"
From Planet Krypton
#228 (October 3, 2000)
Former
"L&C" writer John McNamara wrote some of the most
popular episodes of the series, most notably the ones about the
time-travelling villain from the future, Tempus, who first
appeared in the episode "Tempus Fugitive." Now McNamara
is at it again as a writer/producer for a new TV series based on
"The Fugitive."
"The Fugitive" will star Tim Daly (no stranger to
Superman fans, as he voiced Clark and Superman in Kids WB's
"Superman" animated series). Daly plays Dr. Richard
Kimble, a man wrongly accused of murdering his wife (previously
played by David Janssen in the original "Fugitive" TV
series of the 1960's, and by Harrison Ford in the
"Fugitive" movie). The show also stars Mykelti
Williamson (Forrest Gump's "Bubba").
John McNamara's last project, "Vengeance Unlimited,"
didn't last too long but his series "Profit" is still
talked about today. "The Fugitive" looks like it may be
one of the new hits this season so you might want to check it
out. It premieres on Friday, October 6 (Lois and Clark's
anniversary!) on CBS.
